need help finding parts

I need help finding or making some parts if somebody knows the measurements. two parts i cant seem to find are the steering busing that makes my wheel not move up and down, and the stud that comes out of the engine to bolt to the transmission. Car is a 67 912 ( I assume the bushing would be the same on a 911) and the engine is a 75 2.7s. If anyone can point out where to find them or tell me the dimensions of the steering bushing so i can make on that would be great. thanks a lot kris out

Is the stud brokem or missing? If it is missing, simply head to your local fastner supply store and buy a new stud that is the same as the ones that remain in the engine.

Have you tried Parts Obsolete?

No, the stud was just missing. I will make my way to the hardware store on that one. Does anybody know about the bushing? Maybe one out of a little bit newer 911?

As far as I know, the improved non-plastic bushing to use in a 911 is the one from the 928, if that information is of any use to you. Dunno the dimensions.

It is my understanding that the 1973 and earlier steering columns do NOT use the bushing. You need to replace a very expensive part instead.
