windshield rubber
I need to replace the windshield and rear window rubbers Are the ones avable from our host "Factory " a few shops around town will not touch the job unless the rubbers are from Porsche This seems to be what they will only use. because of fitment problems with aftermarket stuff.

The key is the molding.....if it is bent then it can be a long day! The back gasket you will still have to drill or route holes in the gasket for your rear defrost and then stuff them in the new rubber.

I've had the aftermarket and OEM in my hands. Couldn't tell much difference between them. Wound up using the aftermarket at about 1/3 the cost.

I also have aftermarket seals with no problems. I have a glass buddy that gets me a windsheld and seal for about $108, So when I take one out I allways put New glass and all back in, And as koollay says the molding can be a real pain if it's messed up

Very important to get the wide flange windsheild gasket. My car is at the paint shop bein assembled. Just bought all the gaskets myself. I would not use cheap gaskets for the front and rear window. They will not fit well and you will end up with wind noise in the front.
