Midwest/East Coast Caravan to Rennsport Reunion II

As has already been mentioned in another thread, Curt Egerer and I are planning on driving our early 911's to the Rennsport reunion in April 2004. The date of the event is April 23-25 2004. Curt will probably leave Mich early on Weds the 21st and meet me in Ohio later in the day. We will probably try to get to North TN (probably Knoxville)and spend the night. We still need to determine if we will drive down 75 through Georgia (simplest route) or take the 26 to the 95 through the Carolinas (shortest route). Thurs the 22nd will be an easy 10 hour cruise from Knoxville to Daytona. The way I envision this is that we would have prearranged starting/stopping points as well as lunch and breakfast stops that so people can hook up with the caravan if they would like.
Curt is going to try and arrange a inexpensive yet clean/safe hotel within the next couple weeks. In the meantime I am going to start and email list to keep everyone in the loop......or maybe start a sticky thread with Waynes permission on one of the regional boards.
If anyone would like to get involved with this unofficial caravan, please email me and we will establish meeting places so that we can link up. I will keep track of all the emails and try to organize this. I dont want it to become a big production and we will not have more than a handful of meeting spots, but if we can get a nice group going I think it would be fun.
What I need is your name, car type and what city you live in so that we can arrange simple meeting spots. Email me at Cornpanzer@sbcglobal.net I will be cross posting this to other boards.

I'm planning on driving down from Indy. I'll be using the 75 route. Great idea on setting up meeting points along the way. I'll check around here to see if anyone else is headed down.

Just thought of something: snow is not out of the question in late April!! I guess there are a few options ..... snow tires (not the preferred look once we hit the southern States!) Or maybe stick the Gray Wolf on the trailer and pull it with the Peppervagen! -- Curt
