Where is my engine serial #?
 

Sorry to post a real basic question, but my car is in the UK and I am trying to organise the vehicle registration from here in the USA.
The engine is not the original so it will not be a standard 2.2l engine.
- Where is the engine serial number ( engine is a 2.7 if that helps).

It's stamped on a vertical, to the right of the cooling fan housing. Look in the area between your fan housing and the oil pressure sender. Now look at the vertical piece of metal on the left - it's the part of the case that cradles the fan. The engine TYPE number is also back there in the shadowy area of the picture. It will be something like "911/44".<HR>
