Question G50 Transmission Help Please

Hi All

Silly question time.

I want to change my transmission fluid but am having a ridiculous amount of trouble getting replacment crush washers for the drain and fill plugs. Tried my local (UK) OPC to be told that they are not a stock item (!) and was today told they are on back order! The mind boggles.

Anyway can anyone help me with washer sizes (so that I can source elsewhere, or find something of an appropriate size), or can any of the UK contingent suggest somewhere to try to get some for the week end.

Many thanks!

I'm almost always wrong, but I could swear they're the same size and the oil drain plug washers and are interchangeable. If you really can't get them, then just flip and reuse the ones you have.

Hi Richard

Thanks for your reply. I'm told the trans washers are slightly larger than the engine sump. OPC lists them as a completely different part number. I still cannot believe they are not a stock item!

According to previous posts Pelican sells for $1.17 each. I found a reference to 89+ 911 fill and drain plug "sealing rings" for 25 cents each. Guess it doesn't help if you need locally.

Have you tried you Porsche dealership? Not sure what OPC is.

The wonders of Google:

Try this... 22mm X 27 mm crush washers. These are generally aluminum; Porsche no. is 900 123 011 30

Richard is correct. G50 drain/fill trans rings are the same as oil tank and crankcase rings.
