Kicked myself in the ass

Hi Guys

Ive just finished a long stretch with my girlfriend (not in jail, well seemed like it!).
So i'm landed with a load more time on my hands. I had neglected the porka for a long time now and thoughts of never finishing it had been crossing my mind.

I bought the porsche so i could have a custom 911 looking just how i wanted it (to impress girls).

Anyway I got up the other morning and kicked myself in the ass. Went out and bought some bits i needed and hey presto its ready to be painted now!

Any advice on colour? was gonna go for the old jet black to match the carbon tail.

Blackest black. Truly brings out the monster look. Do be sure you get plenty of hand-sanded coats in there to remove any imperfections since black is a tough color to hide blemishes under.

SIlver would look pretty nice, not as sexy as black, but easier to care for.

sepia brown? ok ok I'll admit even my favorite color has it's limits. I love a good deep blue but for a slantnose black looks really mean.

Black with white doors. Maybe some numbers in black on the doors and some extra lights on top too.

Try House of Kolors deep metallics...some look so dark you think they are black, but have just a hint of color in the highlights in the sun. Might be the cool dark wet look reflections you are looking for, but have a unique look as well. JMHO!

This thread reminds me of Island's comment long ago:

"Dude, cover it in black velvet and paint a giant Elvis on the hood".

Seriously, my vote is for Silver. What kind of motor/trans is going into that beast, Andi?

Adam, does your paintjob still fade from whitish yellow to orangish yellow and back again?

Seems like different cars look better in different colors. For me, black is not the best color for a 911 and Speed Yellow is not the best color for a Rolls Royce. That slant nose would look good in a charcoal with the carbon wing. There are a LOT of silver 911's because, I guess, it works. I'm tired of red. But this isn't about me. However, you asked, so I say charcaol or maybe a dark blue.

Adam,

Shame. You where only a couple of brush strokes away from a flame job!
