Vent Window

76 911 S TARGA
THE LEFT SIDE VENT WINDOW WONT STAY OPEN. IS THERE ANY WAY TO INCREASE TENSION SOMEHOW?

My goodness. I cant believe that not one officianado knows about a vent window. I think I would get more of a response on a corvette site or 944 board.

take off the upper door upholstery panel, 2 screws and the lock button, Remove the window crank, and arm rest allens at the top. You then may be able to pry back the door panel in the upper corner and see a hole under the vent window. there will be an allen to tighten at the pivot, or a spring with a nut. If you can not get in, remove the door panel.

You may after tightening find it still is loose, take the friction plate off and give it a whack with your favorite hammer. the plate, not the vent window, reinstall...
