Need a pedal shaft in Orange County

It's Friday night and I ain't got no clutch pedal...

My 87's clutch started releasing badly on the way home from German Autofest and bleeding didn't help. A quick look at the pedals led me to believe that the roll pins for the pedal were failing so I ordered pins and bushings and tonight I took it apart.

I can't quite figure out why it didn't sheer. It bends easily by hand. It explains why it felt like it was binding while the pedal travel increased.

Does anyone know where I can get a Pedal Shaft for a G50 car on a Saturday? I'm willing to drive if it is within an hour or so.

Any leads appriciated

Thanks

Einmalig in Huntington Beach specializes in used parts for Porsches, sometimes their prices for the used stuff is even a little bit less than full retail for new

Went to Newport Auto Center (dealer) this morning and they can get one from the warehouse in Ontario, CA by Wednesday. I'm kind of surprised that there is one on the country. Mesa didn't have it but suggested The Parts Shop in HB.

I think it failed as a result of a binding of the release fork shaft when I got the car. It had the updated shaft but the bearing was dry and bound hard at the end of its throw.

Has anyone seen one of these fail before? (common to 87 to 89) I don't think a used part would be a problem but I'm left wondering if this is a generalized problem with the pedal assembly.

Input appreciated...
