With the North Texas weather finally cooling off nicely, I am enjoying my Targa even more. I particularly enjoy getting up early Saturday morning, grabbing a large mug o’ coffee and driving before my family gets up and going. I usually spend about an hour of spirited driving along country-ish roads. Great way to start a day!
I’d like to know where you go when you have a couple of hours to drive. Please be specific (route 544 north to 380, then west, etc.) so that others may discover and enjoy them too. I hope the Dallas area Pelicanites chime in with their favorite roads so I can enjoy some new routes and give the car a "German tune-up" – perhaps you’ll learn some new local routes too. Cheers.

Dave, as you can see for the number of responses there is not many options in or around Dallas... after almost 10 years here I have not found any route worth of mention.
I have find out a couple of places North of Frisco and in East-West direction with something resembling twisties (i.e. going to Tioga for a good BBQ) but really nothing to write home about it. I guess is part of the price we have to pay for having cheap gas. Any others?
