HELP! Electrical issues after pedal cluster rebuild!

Hello all...

I have just finished up the pedal cluster rebuild and clutch cable replacement on my 80SC. Now, I cannot start the car and the gauges and some other things are not working either. No blown fuses, have swapped out relays. Is there a connector of some sort in the tunnel which could have become disconnected?

Headlights, stereo, dome lights are working.

Guages, fuel pump, power windows and turn signals not working.

Thanks for your help!

Did you mess with the ground strap on the transmission when you replaced your clutch cable?

It could be that your starter no longer has a return path.

Edit -- Oops, I should have read your post better. The ground strap doesn't sound like it's the problem.

Edit....

This is really a bizaar problem.

Fogs, headlights, cigarette lighter, horn, mirrors, sunroof, etc all work.

It seems that the fuel pump, turn signals, power windows and a couple of the gauges not working. Clock is working.

I cannot see a connector in the tunnel.

Anoyone have any ideas?

This is my daily driver.....getting desparate......

Check the connections on the back of the ignition switch (behind the key up underneath the dash). Given where you were working with the cluster you may have knocked a wire or wires loose. Good luck, Jim

Right on Jim! That was it. I missed one of those bulkhead (is that correct?) connectors way up there behind the ignition switch. So, what's your hourly rate anyway Many thanks again!
