Just used DAS (Dependabel Auto Shippers) to go from NC to CA. I also used their "terminal to terminal" option and in an enclosed carrier it was under $1100. A word of warning, make sure you give them at the time of the order the name of everyone that could pick up the car on the other end if you use that option. In a word, very good folks.

I will second DAS. Boston to Tucson last year, good price and right on time.

I just used Thomas Sunday. Enclosed. No driving on ramps and worrying about drips from other cars. The car was also covered during the trip. Tennessee to California door to door $1350.

DAS shipped mine Dallas to Seattle with no probs. Not sure of cost because wife's company paid, but I think about $1600 with all insurances. This was the local pick up that took it to a covered carrier.
