I be learnin

1st valve adjust and oil change done and what I found out.
1. Don't drain the oil tank into a 2 gallon bucket it is messy.
2. Make sure the screws on the .004 feeler guage are tight. Don't ask me how I know that but I wasted an hour looking for the parts.
3. I took the feeler guage sold by Pelican and bent it by the screws from app. 30 degrees to 90 degrees and it slid in much better.
4. Next time I will put the sparkplugs back before I install the valve covers.
5. Found out I am back in the 60's with LSD
:D

Next project is Front brakes, Wheel bearings, Caliper rebuild, and New rotors. Staring Monday

The good times keep on Rollin!!!

Congrats! BTW, I did the same thing with my Pelican Parts feeler gauge and it also worked better for me too.

P.S - Share the LSD :-)

Congratulations. I completed my first valve adjust a few weeks ago. It's a bit messy, but no problem...just have to follow the book. I decided about a year ago that half the fun of owning a well-used 911 is keeping it in top shape. I'm sure you've figured out that this board is an incredible source of knowledge and expertise. Good luck with your other projects!
