Help needed with wheel offset question 930 trailing arms

Im doing a turbo swap in a 1969 coupe and will be putting 930 trailing arms on the car.(btw still need to buy them). Will the rear wheel offset be changed ? I did a trailing arm swap on my R/S replica (also a 69`) using 1986 carrera arms. The offset with those was unchanged. So I know there is no difference between the early steel units and the 74-89 aluminum units. But is the offset different with the 930 turbo units ?

There is a difference. I'm thinking they are @1-1,1/2 inches wider track, but dont know the exact measurement for sure, the turbos also used a spacer.

they are also shorter so they are not a bolt in conversion, you will need to weld in new mounts, most people put in the adjustable camber boxes designed for the rear.

I hope you knew this is a BIG project. Most say with little return in handling

I think the lenght of the Turbo arm is a little shorter too.? Is this correct?

If I use the standard 74 -89 units then which axle combo will work with the 4spd 930 tranny ? I have 930 axles as well as early and late types. Im hoping someone has done this allready .

the 1987 and 1988 which had the G50 have the same CV as the 930, so they should bolt in, that is what I have on my race car, a 915 with 930 stub axles, and 1988 banana arms with 87-88 carrera CVs

We are installing 930 tranny into SC and are using OEM arms w/ Carrera shafts. 930 shafts won't fit SC trailing arms (length not equal) but later Carrera ones will (CV's have same diameter, 108mm, as 930 ones , they are just little thinner).

So my advice is to use later SC or Carrera alu trailing arms as they are lighter than steel ones and don't require new pickup-points.

930 arms are pretty expensive, little shorter and more massive than SC/Carrera ones. They will give you less squat on launch though.

Cheers!
