901 starter work in an SC?
Will a 901 style starter work okay in an SC? I know it's not as strong as the 915 starter, but anyone use one in a 915 to spin a 3.0L?
Thanks, Rob 1980sc |

Yes, but it might struggle when it is hot. That happened to me (except I had a higher again compression 3.2, so it sucked even worse).

Why would you want to do this? What advantage do you see in it?

To utilize an SR-17 starter in an SC you will need to wire up a relay to be activated by the Terminal #50 signal to the solenoid, because the SC version of the SR-68 starter has an extra set of contacts for the cold-start system.
