Exhaust differences/modification hp differences
On a 3.2 Carrera engine, what would be the peak hp difference between:
SSI and dual out sport muffler vs. 'European Racing Headers' + Phase 9 mufflers/megaphones? (When a MAF is used; aka appropriate intake mods made) Seems to be only about 8 hp or so. What have you noticed? I've found that hp values for other mods are as follows, YMMV: SSI vs stock Carrera exhaust in back-to-back tests: just 4 peak hp documented Autothority MAF: 10hp Compression ratio increase from 9.3 to 10.3: 10hp, plus an additional increase for twin plugging (needed with this mod) What gains are to be expected by advancing the CAM timing a bit? The cat was working. BTW, a friend did a pre-gut after gut Dynojet 248C run and it made a 1 hp difference. But the sound was nice:-)
