Pertronix and Bosch coil

On my 911 2.4E (1972) I've got a Bosch coil 0.221.121.001.
Can I keep that one if I were to replace my points with a Pertronix ignition?

With regards to Pertronix, there appear to be two types:
1. Ignitor, for VW 009 Distributor
2. Ignitor, for VW Vacuum Distributor

I suppose I just need to order the second one. Is that right?

Thanks (again).

Bert

I cannot comment on which Pertronix to use, but you can use the stock coil. I have the pertronix installed in a few cars and I love them.

Thanks Keith.
In the meantime I've got the Pertronix installed and it seems to work fine. Both types I mentioned were not the right ones. They were both for VW 4 cylinder cars. Apparently there are quite a few types around and I rang the importer in the UK and he got me the right one.
