Wellington has some traffic (haha, when I lived there, I walked to work).
Auckland has truely crap traffic, as in preoccupying the nation bad (Aucklanders because we deal with it and want money to fix it - everyone outside Auckland because we want more money to fix it). |
I can relate to your problem. My SC had the same problem with stalling in the middle of traffic. No click, no crank, just noiseless dead. You would not believe how many times I left the car with the tail up just to cool it down. After spending numerous hours, band-aids, hot-start solenoid installation, new grounding straps, etc., I finally realized that the starter was old, could not rely on it anymore, disappointed me 4 times already,........it was time to buy a high-torque, lightweight, unit.
I never looked back since. |
this discussion is not new. see http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/97315-starter-motor-wont-work-when-its-hot.html

Thank you, thank you, thank you... You guys were right that talked about bad connections. I gave ALL the connections a good clean and put it back to gether and it mysteriously came right :)
I will follow your advice Warren and do some preventative maintenance. |
