Leaky Tensioners...any fixes?
Hi all,
The right side tensioner on my 79 3.0 Motor is leaking at the crimp spots. Is there any way to fix it, or do I just replace it? If it's replace it....anyone have one for sale cheap? mto

Do you mean where the oil line enters the cam box? I have the same problem on the right side. I look forward to some expert opinion.

Is this a carrera tensioner or an older sealed unit?

have you replaced the seals there? I belive there are 2 sealing washers on each side of the line.

no, I haven't. They are leaking at the juncture of the metal line and the rubber lines.

AHH I belive you can replace those for about $60 from our host.

Actually, I don't have the link, but I think that these small lines are very inexpensive (like $20 each or so?)...
