How to remove foglight switch?

This is a bit embarassing to ask, but I don't want to risk breaking the thing, because I've promised it to someone.

Can you guys tell me how to remove the foglight switch on a '75? I have access to the back of the switch but can't see how it's mounted. Is it a press fit?

There is no screw under the knob and no clamping nut on the back.

Thanks,
Colin

I believe you need to first remove (unscrew) the knob, then unscrew the black bezel ring underneath. It should have 2 or 4 holes in it, and you will need cir-clip pliers, or a "modified" fork should work in a pinch. If it is tight, try pushing lightly on the switch from behind to relive tension. After the bezel is off, it should come right out from behind. ;)

Thanks Eric! I did manage to get it out last night. I didn't see the little black nut that requires circlips on first glance.

Thanks
Colin
