Excellence,
Since no one has noticed or asked yet, what is that white object hanging behind the LR bumper? Is that a remote oil filter? Your car is very nice, btw. Sherwood http://members.rennlist.org/911pcars |
Correct, it's the remote oil filter that's plumbed into the front fender mounted auxiliary oil cooler. I put an orange Fram on it since then, it looks better. :D

Exc911ence,
What's your suspension heights set at? -Dennis |
Frostie - how did you get those wheels to fit onto a '74? What kind of mods did you have to make?
|
exc911ence, that's a great looking car. You might want to do a search on Fram filters though, there was a thread a couple months ago about bad things happening to Fram filters on 911s.

Actually, I have a good Fram story myself. A buddy of mine has a 72 Plymouth Duster 340 that is pristine and he's so anal about it that he cuts open his oil filters to check for metal filings and such. Well once, he cut open his filter and found a cigarette butt inside it! Ever since, he's never used a Fram filter...
I took a chance (it was a Sunday and Canadian Tire was the only open autoparts place...) but normally use NAPA filters on the car (like the white one). As for the suspension, it's low... way low. I measured the heights for another suspension thread a month or so ago so if you do a search, you'll find the info. The car is in storage now so I can't remeasure it. :) |
I vote no flares!
I kept my 1977 911s 3.2 narrow, and had 205's in front and 225's rear, on 16" Boxter rims of 6" and 7" width. I believe the rear fenders were rolled. I kept it that way until a major self inflicted track indicent, then went full turbo RSR fiberglass body! I miss the skinny body, as it's such a sleeper look, and more aerodynamic too! Whatever you choose, it will be right for you! Have fun. Jason 1977 911S 3.2 Coupe |
