				European Pistons and Cylinders

Has any used 3.0 litre European pistons and cylinders on a 911 SC rebuild?

I've been told that they are higher in compression, and will thus give more HP, without making radical changes in anything else. Advantages and disadvantages? Thanks. |

I used euro P&Cs for my rebuild. My impression is that the car is peppier. I don't have definative HP figures. If you need P&Cs anyway you might as well go euro.

I had Euro piston/cylinders installed one year ago on my "87 Carerra and am pleased with the result. I also had a 964 cam installed and the chip remapped. End result was 245 hp on the dyno, more torque and better performance all around. Would do it again in a heartbeat. You must use premium fuel if you go with the higher compression Euro p/c's.
