It's not like carfax just a list.

My 75 S is a pre-83 but not an SC... does it count?

Why isn't '83 included? Just curious...seems like a logical cut-off.

I think this list is intended for all "SC"s (1978 through 1983). BTW, mine's the second one on the list (Silver, '78 SC).

Yes.

"Simon" first posted (some time ago) that he was setting up an "SC" list and invited people to sign-up, that would include (at least for the USA models) the years 1978 THROUGH 1983. I think "Oracle" simply mis-stated the inclusive years. SC's are, by definition, 1978 through 1983 in the USA (they may have started in '77 in Europe, anyone know?). I think Simon decided to set up such a list simply because there wasn't one, and there were (are) lists for early cars, "S"s, Carreras, etc.

Sorry for the confusion. I really have nothing to do with Simon and his list, I just thought it'd be good if more owners add their cars. Simply to find a reference somewhere.

Ideally Pelican can come up with application (ala Carfax) for 911 that will keep track of ownership and maybe body changes etc...

Thanks for the plug Oracle. The intent is to track all SC cars, therefore including 1983 models.

So far we have about 170 cars registered, so please spread the word amongst SC owners to grow the list.

To the 15 guys who regsitered their cars in the past week, I will be updating the list in about 30 mins time.

I couldn't agree anymore... I think the PCA has it but then you have to subscribe and $45 + Regional Group Fee is a liitle too much in my opinion.

I hope Pelican can 'talk' to Rennlist and they can come up with something. Pelican + Rennlist = Most of the Porsches out there.
