Brake pads with no sensors?
I ordered the front brake pads from Pelican, but it looks like I may have ordered the wrong thing now.
The ones I ordered did not have an area to attach the brake sensors. I ended up putting the brake pads in anyways and just zip-tied the sensor wire to be out of the way. Is this OK? If it is, I'll just run these pads for a while and order the correct ones next time. I ordered: C-351-950-02 911 Steel A Caliper Front Brake Pads (late 1975-83) These are actually listed in the catalog as: OEM Front Brake Pad Set, Steel 'A' Caliper, 911 (late 1975-89), From VIN# 911-520-2046 (Coupe), 911-521-1218 (Targa), 911-540-0342 (Carrera Coupe), 911-541-0148 (Carrera Targa)

M-
There is no reason I can think of to need the sensors in the first place -- for a competent owner ... so why even bother replacing the pads you have now??? The 'S,' 'A,' and wide-A pads can be used interchangeably. A Ty-rap sounds like a good solution ... though cutting off the wiring at the firewall could save a few grams!
