I'm a long time poster on the diesel site for my 99 Power stroke and have read a ton of posts on this issue, it takes oil anylisation (sp?) over a period of time (4-6 oil changes) to see if the air filtration has made a difference from the stock configuration. If I can find the site where these tests are done I'll post the link.

Wouldn't you also need to increase the size of your throttle body?
