Current drain and door switch
You've heard this story before. My battery drains after a few days of sitting. The battery is good and the alternator is charging. After reading a number of posts on the subject of current drain and shorts, I decided to look at the door switch (while my battery was charging), before going through the diagnostic procedure with the ampmeter and fuses. I removed the drivers-side door switch carefully. I held the center post stationary so I would not twist and break wires. Well, there were no wires attached, so I guess something happened quite a while ago with the previous owner. My problem now, is that I can not locate the wires after fishing around etc. Is there any other access other than through the switch hole? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
