1984 930s ?

This past sunday while I was painting the livingroom, a beautiful red 930 pulls up to my neighbors house, actualy I heard it pull up. It didn't register right away, to many paint fumes, but when a caught a glimpse of it out the window, down went the brush and roller and over to the nieghbors I go. This guy tells me it's a factory 1984 930S (slantnose) and it was pretty rough when he got it, but looking nice now. My question is, I didn't think the 1984 930S was available new in the US? This would make it a gray market car, yes? and if so then is it as rare as teeth on hens?

I believe that '84 Flatnose would be a Grey/Euro model. They are relatively uncommon but one can find examples at remarkably low prices.

Not rare, but grey market yes. Well, i take that back, maybe a slant nose. But in my previous days of working for a porsche repair shop, having grey market 930's come in was almost as common as having the regular 930's come in.
