East Coast Porsche Show

I always see where the West coast has all these great Porsche shows and gatherings but East coasters have very few gatherings. I was wondering if any one has any experience creating their own show/gathering? How hard is it to get something together like this? So here are my peliminary thoughts:

1. Porsche only (but I don't think we would have a very large turnout) so maybe German only

2. Swap meet set up for dealers and private individuals

3. Located in the Charlotte area
-Because it is sort of centrally located on the East Coast
-Close enough to the Blue ridge to include that if
individuals just want to get out and drive
-Lots of nice hotels in the area for out of towners to stay
in
I was hoping you guys would be able to help me with anything else I am forgetting

German Car Clubs Event - World Golf Village
German Auto Clubs' 2003 Charity Oktoberfest at World Golf Village. On Saturday, October 4, 2003 we will once again be raising money for the United Way's Dial 2-1-1 Program as the World Golf Village hosts our Second Annual German Auto Clubs' Oktoberfest. Last year we had over 1,000 visitors to the charity car show as we raised money and increased awareness of the many services provided by United Way's Dial 2-1-1. This special program provides essential resource information of the many agencies and services available to the residents of Duval, Baker, St. Johns and Clay. We had excellent participation from hundreds of local German automobile club members with more than 80 cars on display around the World Golf Villages' Walk of Champions.
