My new used purchase.
Today I was thumbing thru the Auto Trader and saw a 1984 911 Targa advertised by a new dealer just 9 miles from my home. The price was only $8,900.00 I jumped in my truck and drove quickly to the dealer. It looked good, light blue with blue leather. The dealer said it was just traded in by a female who owned it since 96. The only problem is stiching let loose on the seats and a slight scrape on the passanger rear fender. I dorve the car and it runs perfect , even the cruse control works. The engine is dry underneath. 99K miles. YES I bought it. I am excited.

I know it is ludacris to ask after the fact, but any maintenance records? Hell, I admire the leap of faith--even if you have some issues, you are in it for fairly cheap so no big deal.

Let me be the first to mention that when you buy a 911, you need to be immediately ready to post pictures.
The camera will also come in handy next week when you post 'where does this go' or 'what is this wire/cable/switch/relay/fuse/smoke/noise' Good luck -

OK OK, Guess I am a brain dead but I cannot figure out how to up-load pictures. I do have a digital camera. And I generally understand the JPG thing and locating files etc.. Can anyone give me instructions in simple terms? Do I need my own web site?

Are you going to change your name to "hot84911"? Congrats, Welcome to Carrera world. I commiserate with your pic issue. I got my '87 about 6 weeks ago and I'll be damned if I can figure out how to load pictures. In my case I think it is a geezer thing.
