cleaning polished aluminum wheels

I have uncoated polished aluminum wheels, can i use the car wash soap on them? if not, what can i use from around the house? Thanks!

Car wash soap is fine. Then use Mother's aluminium and mag polish followed by a coat of carnuba wax.

Make sure you use a soft cloth to clean the wheels. No brushes since the aluminum is easily scratched. I've used Mothers, but I like Flitz better. It seems easier to apply and buff, but still shines nice. Also Wenol works well. Stay away from Polish Wadding. I only polish mine once or twice a year and they looks fine.

Saltwater environment here - polish 4 times a year - mothers here too. In fact just finished mine 10 minutes ago...

The only thing more certain then death and taxes is a picture of Jeremy's fuchs whenever there is a post having anything to do about fuchs. Hey I'm just as guilty. I do love them though!

Here's a little secret from Al Reed's shop, Pledge furniture polish.
They use it on polished fuchs to protect the polished surface and to keep the matte black paint looking shiny. I haven't tried it yet but I will one of these days.
