vin identification

need help with this vin number. 9116610322. it's titled as a 1976 911. it's a convertible with the wide body upgrade? I dont know what engine, but title reads 2.7 litre?

No convertibles in 1976! Just the coupe & targa. No factory widebodies for that matter either. The 2.7L is standard for that year. Sounds like the car has been highly modified... so be careful. Its not a slant nose as well is it?

no slant nose. I think it's looks like an 85 or 86. I have just recently been researching 911's and don't know much about these cars.

That would be a 76 Targa with the 3.0 Carrera engine. Sounds mysterious.

911=911
6=1976
6=3.0
1=Targa
0322=sequential number
