rough 71 911T value?
A friend just inherited a 71 911T, hasn't run in years as far as he knows. No rust, paint is tired, interior is tired (seats ripped a little, dash cracked, carpet rough) one dent in rear quarterpanel, can be repaired.
I may get involved helping to get it running to diagnose engine condition. It's is all there AFAIK. OK, question time: Assuming the engine runs well and does not need a rebuild right away, any guesses what this thing is worth? According to the 911 FAQ on this sight it says 3.5k for rough, up to 16.5 for excellent. Is that accurate? Is this a car to fix up or part out? Last edited by sammyg2; 10-12-2003 at 06:56 PM.. |

That price range sounds pretty accurate to me. I'm guessing you can pick it up for even less than the $3.5K????? That would be a good deal for a running car. But, OTOH, it would be easy to dump a ton of $$ into it and not be able to recoup!! Depends on what you want the car to be, right?

Also, to turn this car into an "excellent condition $16.5K car", you would probably need to spend about $30k!!!

Wow, that link is way to ironic, that is the same car and same guy.
He's acutally a friend and neighbor of one of my best friends who also happens to be the guy I bought my 911 from. I was reading that link and thinking it was a little rougher than he was describing then as it got to page 4 he disclosed some of the stuff I knew about. |
