Need info on 91 911C2 tiptronic

Thinking of buying 91 with 96K 3.6 with tiptronic, any comments or common problems to look for, own a SC so know the 3.0??
Thanks in advance!
John

John - I own a '91 C2 Cab with a Tip. I thought I was a purist. I've owned this car for three years. When I first looked at this car and found out that it was an "automatic" I walked away. but my curiosity got the best of me and I drove. Took about five minutes to figure how the tip worked. It was a little awkward learning how to brake with the left foot, no more heal and toe. Love it now. Never drive with it in "automatic mode" alway in manual. Second gear around town is excellent. Down shifting is the same as a manual, blip the gas and downshift - smooth as glass.

My car has 45K on it, have changed the tranmission fluid once since owning it.

Has anyone had to rebuild a tip? I've not heard of any. My mechanic says they should make all the new cars tips and do away with the manuals. (Fat chance!!!)

Wished it was a 5 spd rather than a 4. Other than that love it.
