Question 930 Cabriolet Owners, Raising The Top While The Car is Running??

I have made it a habit to let the turbo cool before shutting off the car 1, maybe 2 minutes, after an easy drive for the last few miles….But, a great cool down period would be during raising the top. Unfortunately we cannot raise the top while the car is running.

Have any of you modified (rewired) the switch to allow that? Any problems or accidents for those who have? Any other solution to doing that?

well even though I have a N/A cab, I figured I would chime in here. I too have always wondered if a fix could be done so that the top could be raised and lowered while the car is on, not moving just on. I know Porsche set it up the way they did on purpose, on previous convertibles I have ridden in the emergency brake has needed to be pulled up for the top to operate.

I would guess that if you just re-routed the power to the switch, you could feasably raise and lower it with the car running. Although I would strongly reccomend attempting it while moving, smile. It would be nice though to not have to turn the car off at a stoplight if it starts to rain to raise the top.
