Best air induction?

What is the best performance cold air induction set out there for 1986 911 Carreras?

I've seen Evo has one, K&N, MassAir, and a few others.

Thanks! - Matt (86 Carrera)

How about the one that came from the factory? Do a search, you will find that changing the intake will not gain you any extra hp.

ahh search for MAF and K&N cleared up some confusion...

heard lots of bad stuff about KN, good stuff about stock, but LOTS of good stuff about MAF

old old posts though, opinion of MAF still good??

thanks!-Matt(86 Carrera)

Matt if you do some more searching you will find the problem with the 3.2 lies in a restricted exhaust. The intake is very free breathing. If you are going to spend money trying to get more out of the 3.2 go with either the Dansk pre-muffler/sport muffler combination with a Steve W chip or go straight to SSI's and a Steve W chip.

I believe there was a recent thread that speaks to a "bug" in the MAF set-up. Yopu may want to do a search.

Garage
I left my intake alone and am now concentrating on the exhaust. last night finished the last dremel grinding of bolts off and an now ready to reassemble the new parts. I went with Dansk sport Cat/sport muffler combination with a Steve W chip
