some guys around here have said they pop them off.
I replaced mine when I had the window frame removed, then the trim slides off easily........Ron

The trim strip is held in with aboput 7 clips spaced about 6 inches apart. On early models the clips are metal. On later models they are plastic.
Simply get a flat paint scraper about 2 inches wide. Slide the scraper under the trim strip near one end then lever to raise up the trim strip. Work your way towards the other end. I used a metal ruler under the scraper to protect the paint from damage from the scraper. To replace simply press on starting from one side.

Use some duct tape or a couple of layers of masking tape along the trim to protect the surface from slips and scrapes as you work along the trim edge prying each clip and this piece off.

I did ths one a couple months ago, 5 minute job. I used a stiff paint scraper with a towel under it to protect the paint. Just pry it up, slde the new rubber squeegie in and pop it back into place.

suggest you 1st slightly lift the strip from the rearmost edge - go underneath the strip lengthwise (as in front to back of car). less likely to see any nicks on trailing edge of the door than out on the rounded exterior of the door. once the strip starts to lift you can see where the clips are and start working from the exposed door side with the tape etc. etc. protection as mentioned before. don't be agressive and lift all in one place, gently walk the strip up by working to tilt the strip up.

I just finished. I used a plastic scraper which I wedged underneath the trim. it popped up instantly. moved to the right from the side window to the door end. replaced the rubber and replaced the trim. very easy, 5 minutes. thanks.
