Rocker Dent

I'm looking at a 80 Targa and all looks good (i'm getting visions of wonderful things in my head) but there is a good sized dent in the rocker panel on the one side. Anything I should be worried about? Any way to check to see that it's not going to be an issue?

Thanks in advance guys!
Adam

Pull the trim strip and the panel and see if it went into the body. The panel can be fixed.
Good to see you back - it has been some time!

An easy fix, remove the end caps, slide the rubber bumper strip off, remove the 3 mounting bolts and the entire length should come off. The paint if it is the original paint was painted over a resilient(rubberized) coating at the factory. If the dent is fairly minor, it can be simply pushed out from behind with a flat body hammer over a hunk of wood and not require any repainting. This is also a good time to hose off any dirt in the oil cooling lines if it's the passenger side you are doing.
