3.0 to a 3.2?

I am sure this has been answered somewhere, just can't seem to find it.

Will the Euro Carrera 3.2 P&Cs go on the 3.0 SC with no machine work to the case?

TIA guys

Are you talking about the big bore kit for 3.0's? Or just P & C's from a 3.2? Remember, 3.2 & 3.0 pistons are the ssame diameter, it' the stroke that increased displacement.

To make a '3.2' SC engine ... 'aka Max Moritz conversion' ... you need new 98 mm P&C, ehich I believe Mahle is making now in both 9.8:1 and 10.4:1 for Andial. No machine work to case or heads is needed.

This is from what Ive read, I have no first hand experience with either setup.

98mm P&Cs will give you a short stroke 3.2 and are ~$3600 for a set. I think a later Carrera crank with the 3.0 NA P&Cs will increase displacement to 3.2 as well, but as mentioned, its the longer stroke just like in a 84-89 Carrera.

Just using the euro pistons might give you a compression bump though.
