What kind of 'bit' is used to remove door hinges

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of removing my doors from my 72, and have run into a problem.

The passenger side was not a problem b/c it was a basic metric cap-screw, but when I went to the driver's door it is anothe story.

It appears to be a 14-point bit???

I told my wife that I needed to go out, because I needed a tool that I didn't have.......she gave me that look :) No really, this time I REALLY don't have the right tool....not like the other 23 1/2 times I used that excuse this month:cool:

Anyways, Sears did not have it.....
Am I needing to get it from MATCO or SNAP-ON???

What exactly is it called?

thanks,

chris

Triple square, or Ribe socket, size #8. Snap-On has them for $21.00, Im sure you can get one at Pep-Boys for half of that.
