What size wheel spacers?
I finally got a set of fuch"s my tire size's are255/55 16 and 225/50 16. What would be the best size wheel spacer to put on to fill the wheel well better?

It'll help if you can tell us what kind of 911 you're putting the wheels on.
Is it an SC/Carrera or turbo/widebody car? |
Yes I guess it would sorry about that.
1983 sc cab. |
EDIT: Just noticed your tire sizes. What are the wheel sizes? From the tire sizes listed, I assume they are 7's & 8's or 7's & 9's. If that is the case, then you shouldn't need any spacers! If they are 16x6's&7's, then you are running tires that are too big (should be 205's & 225's). Even on a 9" Fuchs, 255 is pushing it. With 6's & 7's (and correct tire sizes), you should be able to go up to 28mm on the rears, with modest camber and ride height (say, -1.5 and 24.75" fender height) without rolling the lips and/or rubbing issues. You can probably run 32mm+ if you are running around -1.8+ negative camber. As far as the fronts go, you can get away with a 7-8mm spacer between the hub and rim. If you go any larger, you will need longer studs. ;)

If you're running 225/255 tires, then I'd assume you have 8-inch (or 9-inch) rear wheels, and probably 7-inchers in front. I don't see why you would need (or possibly fit) spacers with that combo.
What size Fuchs did you get? |
BK .... Please let me know what spacers you go with as I am looking at doing the same. I have the factory 6/16 and 7/16 on my 84SC Targa Have you seen the spacers on E-Bay?

When I bought the car it came with 7&8 x16 bbs wheels with the 205/55 and 225/50 tires. Since then I purchased 6 & 7 x16 fuch's and put the same tires on the fuch''s. So should I have
205's & 225's instead? What will the oversize tires o ? |
BK ... I just looked at the engine compartment of my 84 Targa. The factory tires are 205-55-16 front and 225-50-16 rear. Sounds like you are in good shape.
