On my 87 Carrera, my brake pedal is considerably higher (closer) than either the clutch or the accelerator. Normal? It is somewhat annoying.

The brake pedal looks normal. It's the clutch that looks low compared to my '88.

I probably agree with Mr. Pizza--clutch lower than brake. FYI, I lowered my brake as part of my project installing racing pedals and learning heel-toe stuff.
Just curious, can you manually pull the clutch out? |

I also agree with Steve, if you can't pull the clutch out sometimes dirt and debris get under the clutch mechanism at the pedal preventing it returning all the way, especially if you track your car without carpets.

Yes, the clutch pedal can be pulled out slightly, there is some free play.

Preston,
Remove the pedal board and check to see if the brake stop pad has slid to one side. This happened on my '72 and, just like your pedal cluster, the brake pedal was way too far forward. I removed the wooden pedal board and saw the problem immediately. It took 5 seconds to fix, and now my pedals are properly aligned. Jeff

I have adjusted my brake pedal so it is lower than the clutch (at maximum braking it's even with the throttle for heel/toe shifting)

With a 15mm wrench you can loosen the lock nuts on either end of the pedal shaft (remove carpet and wooden plate). By turning the shaft, you can lower or raise the pedal height. Retighten the two locknuts when it's where you like it and you're done.
