BUMP. Anyone within a few hours drive, this will be a cool event. If you come a day early, Porsche of Arlington is having a 40th Anniv. open house tomorrow. I'll be at both. Anyone need an engine dropped?

sorry I'll be missing it this year, but Isable wiped out my disposable Porsche $$'s. I need to start filling the jar again for Hershey.

BTW - I drove near there today, and noticed that Moran Road is closed on the Waxpool Road side due to construction or something, so you'll have to go around the back way to get there. I continued down Waxpool and hooked a left on Pacific and came in that way from behind.

Great fall weather, lots of people looking to buy stuff, just not too many sellers this year. I had lots of little things I was looking for. I bought a (new) rear view mirror to replace the one that's cloudy on our 73E. Looked at some MFI stuff...thinking seriously about a 2.7Rs update project. Hmmmm. Hopefully next year we'll get more sellers. Of course, there's always Hershey.

Geez George, you expect help already? OK, I don't remember the exact date but the Hershey swap meet is probably around April 24th. We'll have a pretty good turn out from NoVA, maybe 10+ of us. You'll also get to meet some of great folks from other areas like Ohio, North Carolina, and the Northeast. It's only a couple of hours from my house, less if you drive like Richard Leschander or marcesq. Put it on your calendar, you'll enjoy it.

The "honey-do's" got the best of me. I was guilted into sealing the driveway and cleaning out the dead trees in the yard versus participating in the swap meet. What did I miss? Sorry I missed you guys.

While the inventory wasn't huge, there was some cool stuff. My Ferrari buddy came in his '70RS clone and left with a '67E that had been built up to an S. Car had every receipt for engine work and a B. Anderson appraisal. Then we went to David Riley's to pick up a spare 2.7 engine. Then Charlie met us over at my buddy's house, where we unloaded the engine from my truck, gawked at his concourse '71 Daytona, changed a spark plug on his concourse '55 Speedster and then Charlie and I went for some beer and then a joyride in his refreshed SC. Holy $hit - his 3.0 pulls at least as strong as my 993. What a great job on that engine. So it was a very Porsche-filled day for me.

Yes it was a good day. I too checked out the swapmeet. Didn't find anything on my list though. As Jim Said there were fewer people selling than in the past.

Richard, Glad to know your friend picked up that car. I thought it was a 70. Very solid and should be a strong runner. Now when will he find the time to drive all these cars he is collecting?

I got home in time to do a little panel alignment. No driving involved but here's my afternoon's work.

I got there around 11:30 and apparently missed everyone. Poked my head around a few corners and didnt see any familiar faces, so I left......didn't even really take a look at the vendor tables

BTW: Richard's friend is quite a nice fellow with some very nice toys.
