Unhappy Wipers Won't Switch Off- Still!!!

Still have this problem. Switch seems to check out OK and in sesperatiojn I have pulled the wiper motor (not easy) to check it. All seems OK. Would the intermittent relay have anything to do with this?

I've got the same problem right now on my SC. I haven't had time to dive into it yet. I'm curious as to what it might be.

Any chance someone (the car wash guy in my case) has turned the delay timer knob on? I felt pretty stupid once I discovered it. Yes, a stuck relay will do that too.

Nope, but if it is the relay, I might try jumpering the connections on the relay socket. But, if the relay is unplugges, it doesn;t make any difference.

After my car was painted, the wipers stayed on until a grounding wire was re-attached at the pass. side hood hinge.
Strange, but it may be the way the relay circuit is wired.

Not sure what year you have. but the intermittent SWITCH on the dashboard is not on is it. This has caught others before (embarrassed smile).

Nope, intermittent not on. Wipers just running on low speed and not switching off. I've checked the stalk switch per an earler thread and have power to 53a. So I assume it may still be a problem with the switch in the motor, but it looks OK and contacts are clean.

As it makes no difference if the intermittent relay is pugged in or not, I wonder if the relay is normally energised when the stalk switch is off? Doesn't seem likely, but I better check. Also, it started with the wipers not parking when using the stalk switch, but they parked fine with intermittent. Now intermittent makes no difference and stalk at off the wipers run on the low speed and fine at all the other speeds.
