3.0SC floods when you stand on it?

Hey guys-

I realize that there are more than a few postings on engine noise, I'll try to make this one as clear as possible.

I have a low-mile (60K approx) 3.0SC motor in my car. Stock exhaust, chain tensioner upgrade, CIS. I was out ripping through the countryside this weekend and I heard the same old nasty noise that caused me to do the tensioner upgrade. It happens around 4500+ rpm when Im in hard acceleration in, say, 5th gear. Theres a point in the pedal when more gas doesn't help the car go any faster (especially for the higher gears) and thats when I hear a noticable buzz from the engine. Maybe its just a noise that the CIS makes that Im not familiar with, this is my first Porsche BTW. Does the CIS system flood at all? The valves could use a tune-up, maybe they are being amplified? Does anyone else ever hear this noise when they push it to the floor?

try a fuel filter replacement. sounds like it may be starved of fuel when you really get on it. i noticed mine do the same thing and it got worse real quick like.

if thats not it maybe a vacum leak?
