Anyone know of, or use Micky at European Performance?
Reluctantly, I need to let the baby out of my sight for its 30K mile service, and I'm having a very tough time deciding just who to take it to. All I can envision is scratched paint, dented panels, grease on the interior, etc. It makes me shudder....
![]() I'd really like someone local/nearby for ease of accessibility. It's a hassle driving over to Tampa or Largo, getting picked up, going back and forth, etc. I know all the "guru's" in the area, but I've now had two recommendations from folks regarding European Performance in St. Petersburg. I cruised by there today to check out the shop, and he's got a 964 apart for an engine rebuild, a boxster, a late '80's Turbo, and quite a few other Porsche's in various states of repair. Micky, the owner, wasn't there, so I'll have to give him a call on Wednesday, but the mechanic in the shop said he's been doing Porsche work for a long, long time. Supposedly he does most of the work himself, particularly if you specify that he's the only one to touch the car. I'd never heard of the place until recently, because everyone goes to Eibell, Dave White, or Germantech. I worry because I've had my previous car to two of these "guru's," and between the two, ended up with an engine that never ran properly, a dented rocker panel, and other miscelaneous nuisance items. If anyone knows European Performance, I'm all ears! Thanks!
