Another Wheel & Tire Question

1976 911 with cookie cutters (6 front 7 back). I just bought the car. Car is currently wearing almost new passenger car tires - family sedan type not performance type. I can't bring myself to spend the money on Fuchs right away. What tires will improve performance and look visually appealing??

I bought Yokohama EVS 100s - 205-50-15. They'll work well on a narrow body Porsche, and have very good characterstics. They're not too expensive, either. I recommend them.

I second that on the ES-100's. Really good tire for the money.

I third the AVS ES 100s.

Running 215 / 60 / 15 on 6.5" by 15" minilites on my '76 Targa. NO flares and no rubbing issues. Three track events and just the normal tread block "melt". Great on the street, OK on the track. As others have noted, squeal a lot on the track but are predictable before they give way.

I am looking at a pair of Fuchs in good shape. 2- 16x6's and 2-16x7's. This is for a 1976 911 with no wheel well modification. Will these fit??
What would be a fair price??

They have no tires and are painted to match the car.

Thanks

I put a set of Michelin Pilot H rated on my 77 and I really like the smooth ride. I did a mountain road run last weekend and they really worked awsome, no squeels. The complete set cost less than $500.00 installed. A week later I did pay $100.00 for a high speed "on-car" balance that relly made the car run smooth.
