Post -84 930 LSD's...any good?
How good are they? I read somewhere that LSD's made after -84 only got one set of discs per side until new split-ratio LSD's became available. Also, they are rated 40% but actually allow less force to be transmitted? Can anyone fill me up on this?
Thanx!

Thanx for the info Ed!
As far as i understand, torque-biasing LSD's are quite unusable when racing beacuse they unlock at braking. Also, i believe Porsche LSD's come in various versions: Pre -84: two clutch-discs on each side, called 40% (29 to 58 foot pounds of slip-torque) Post -84: One clutch disc on each side, still called 40% (7 to 25 foot pounds of slip torque) 964 C2 Turbo: 20/100% (20% during accel, full lock when braking) etc. I've read that in scanned-in article by "Gregory Brown" from "Velocity" magazine. Reason for asking this is that we might buy OEM -88 930 LSD, so i would like to know if it's usable in race-conditions.
