Seats and such?

I am looking to replace or possibly recover my seats with leather.
I may recover what I have or just buy a nice used leather set.

What I am wondering is do leather seats look decent dyed black or do they look cheesy?

Or is it just smarter to stick with original black?

It just seems the grey or beige ones come up more and run a little less money etc.

A friend mine distinctly did not vote for Arnold Schwartzenneger because of all existing things, he sports a very bad (hair) dye job...

Given that, I'd just go with leather recovering which is already in the color you want. Otherwise, go with some nice (light) sport seats - gives you a chance to lose some weight.

Any scratch will reveal the old color. If you use a thru-dyed leather for the recover that won't be a problem.

The PO of my '75 imported leather from Gmund to redo the seats.
