chain tensioner blocks

has anyone thought of making the chain tensioner blocks from solid teflon? seems an easy way to lessen friction. also has there been any developement in "roller " rocker arms. my thoughts are to improve the motor through developement mirrowing whats been happening in the hot rod world.
