In my 89' Carrera Cab, when I turn the hot air blower dial to '0' on the heater control console between the seats and lift the driver's side control lever, the driver's blower still blows like the dial is set to level '2' (it does increase output when i turn the dial to 3, but never will turn completely off or run at a speed lower than 2 regardless of what the dial is set to).
When the dial is at '0' and I raise the passenger side lever, the blower acts as expected (not really forcing any air in) and gradually increases output as the center dial is turned to 1,2, and 3. What should I check first to troubleshoot this phenonmena? Thanks!

Not sure what your switch looks like but when I took mine apart on my 85 cab there was no switch action for the 0 or 1 positions. only microswitches on 2 and 3. Probably doesn't help you much but found it interesting that position 1 appears to do nothing. Doesn't make sense that it would work with both switches up and not just the driver.
