Door Liner Adhesive

Does anyone know of an adhesive for plastic door liners that is reusable 2 or 3 times?

I'm tired of having to make a new plastic liner or put more glue on when I'm putting the liner back on my door.

I think 3M makes a good sealant for this stuff. It tends to stick when you want it to and come apart easily when you want it to. I can't remember the name of it though.

3M makes a product called "PhotoMount" that might work... no experience with it other than using it for its intended purpose. It is used to mount photographs; so it remains sticky without setting things down permanently. Any good graphic supply store should stock it.

BUTAL (sp??) tape. Comes in a 3M or NAPA box. Paper backed so you can apply it. Comes in I think, a 10ft. roll. In with the auto body stuff, like windshield sealers.

I used "DA adhesive" from NAPA - which is used to attach sanding discs to Dual Action sanders - these need to come off later. It has worked well for several remove and replacement cycles.

3M 777 spray adhesive works better than the 3M Photo Mount product designed for adhering paper to paper. Be careful not to get the overspray on things, apply to both surfaces, let dry slightly and then position into place

I've used "body-dope", the claylike stuff string that comes in a roll they put between panels to keep them from ratttling. Can be used indefinitly as long as it's clean.

I have had good luck with bicycle tubular tire cement. a little goes a long way. Its usually a few dollars a tube which will easily do both doors
